Review Policy

My review style is pretty simple and easy to follow.  I grade things from a 1-5 scale, and yes, I use .5's in this scale.  According to my review scale, 3 is average, so a majority of books I review end up being 3 or above, but there will be rare occasions when I truly do not like the book, thus giving it a lower grade.  My reviews are anywhere from 600 to 800 words, varying depending on how into the book I am, if there are any external connections, and other factors.  I always try to be polite, and while I try to be humorous, I keep a tight separation from the work and the author, and always try to pinpoint one group of readers that may like the book if I did not.

I try to review every book I get, but with the traffic I've been getting, it's been hard to keep up.  I read anything from half a book a day to one and a half books per day on average, and I read the entire book.  DNF reviews will be extremely rare.  Because of my speed, I have recently been able to keep up with the books I get, and am more inclined to accept review requests.   I am willing to post book reviews on Goodreads, and I tweet about them as well.  My Twitter has around 500 followers at present time, and I do get fair traffic from those tweets in particular.  I have about 4,000 pageviews per month, nearly all of them on reviews, and I get about 100 people visiting the site per day right now.

If you are a publicist/author/publisher, and would like me to review for you, please email me at the address below.  I will get back to you as soon as I can.  :)  I will review anything if it interests me, but I prefer to read YA, romance, paranormal, and LGBTQ books.  I will take self published works at this present time (only on a case-by-case basis based on professional inquiry emails), and I recently decided that I will take ebooks, although print would be preferred due to my time constraints from reading.  I will take books from small presses.  I'm also a big advocate of LGBTQ books and for getting them to LGBTQ teens, and have a Rainbow Thursday feature dedicated to LGBTQ book reviews and author guest posts/interviews.
