In My Mailbox (28)

In My Mailbox is an IMM that is run by Kristi at The Story Siren and was inspired by Alea at Pop Culture Junkie.  It's where we tell each other about the books that we purchase and receive in the mail and what-not.  Isn't that cool?  It's cool because I used what-not.  I had a pretty fun week mail-wise, and I bought some awesometastic books as well.

For review:

(Thanks to Meg at Random House for sending these)

Throat by R.A. Nelson (1/11)  -  Looks to be an interesting vampire read!  Hopefully it pulls me out of my vampire rut.  I'd like to enjoy reading them again.  I love the cover.  Very dramatic.

The Inheritance Almanac  -  Frankly, I only read Eragon and have no interest in the rest of the series.  It was a blind send so I think I'll put it in the giveaway stack (which will be tapped very soon).

Bought:

( These are all published by Leisure Books/Lovespell )
Eternal Nights by Patti O'Shea  -  Futuristic romance!  After Born of Night, I figured I'd try another one since I surprisingly liked it.

Sacrament by Susane Squires  -  Paranormal historical romance.  Great genre combo, and it sounds dark and mysterious.

Truly, Madly Viking by Sandra Hill  -  Time travel contemporary romance.  Comedy with a hot viking.

The Seven Brides:  Fern by Leigh Greenwood  -  Historical western romance.  LOVE this genre, and I've always wanted to try a male written romance.

So - what did you guys get in YOUR mailboxes?

*Also*  Celebrate, as (if you haven't heard)  Don't Ask, Don't Tell has been REPEALED.  YES.  THAT IS RIGHT.  A huge and important victory for LGBTQ rights and equality, guys.  Continue to push for it, because it can happen if we try hard enough!  This was 17 years long overdue.  :)

Haha yeah...I'll admit to having read all the books in the Inheritance series and enjoying them several years ago, but I doubt I'll be able to work up the steam for book 4. And the almanac was definitely not on my wishlist. Everything else looks great, though! Can't wait to hear what you think of Throat.

Hooray for the DADT repeal, too! =)
