Friday Blog Hop, Warning, and More Face Art!
Okay, so I haven't done the blog hop in two weeks (holy shiz I must be an idiot - my best followers found me through this thing) and I am doing it again! Plus, it means I can post a review rather late tomorrow because such a beautiful, long post will be present. Anyway, this week we are 'getting to know' one another and have to answer a question. I like. I like a lot. Mostly because talking about myself is a past time I rather enjoy. The question is...
Tell us about some of your favorite authors and why they are your favorites!
Original blue text and all people. Copy and Paste, I love you today. My answer?
My favorite authors...hmm. I will list them and explain everything (In rainbow, because rainbow is awesome).
Hayden Thorne - She is seriously a great friend and a talented writer. I love her ability to write fun genre fiction that doesn't make me want to hit myself with plastic lawn gnomes because there is so much angst. Also, her romances are cute.
Melissa de la Cruz - Her books are the equivalent of a fun romp through NYC - Except with sexy vampires that I like to obsess over. Book crack, I tell you!
Libba Bray - Come on, the Gemma Doyle Trilogy is just friggin' amazing. Like, my favorite historical fiction paranormal romance mystery action adventure series ever. Yes, it has all of those qualities. You should be intimidated.
Kelly Armstrong - I actually have Bitten in my TBR now (THANK YOU FLEA MARKET) and I loved The Summoning (still need to read the next two books). Necromancers, werewolves, wizards, ghosts - this woman does it ALL.
Julie Kagawa - The latest addition to this list, Julie Kagawa writes an awesome book that feels like a video game, has all the romance (I LOVE ASH AND PUCK) of any other paranormal book, and isn't a 'Woe-Is-Me' depressing type of book. Seriously, my new favorite fantasy/paranormal series. GO FAERIES!
Tamora Pierce - She does pure fantasy so well. I really have only read her Magic Circle books (Sandry's Book, Tris's Book, ect.) but she has impressed me with her ability to craft a world and lovable characters.
Alex Sanchez - The Rainbow Boys series is just pretty amazing in my opinion. It's basically genre fiction, but he does it so well and weaves in so many important lessons for gay AND bisexual guys. Sometimes he can take the limelight from lesser-known LGBTQ authors, but his books are always really good.
L.M.Montgomery - Anne of Green Gables is the shiz. Come on, I had to include this woman! I could not LIVE without Anne Shirley, Gilbert Blythe, Avonlea, Green Gables - I would be dead. DEAD I TELL YOU.
Okay, hopefully that sums up exactly why I love my favorite authors. I could add more to the list. But I'm lazy. :P
As to the warning: I will be out tomorrow morning, and my review schedule is messed up right now, but I'll be sure to either have that OR a For Fans of...Friday post up for you guys.
Consider this random face an apology gift. I hope it makes you laugh, especially if you are drunk, high, or deranged.
Oh, and by the way...hehe...that blog hop image has been saved as Book Blogger Blog Ho on my computer since I started it. It was an accident, I swear! But I don't want to change it. That probably explains oh so much.
