Waiting on...A Conest Winner!
Hey all, this is a quick shout-out!! I just found the winner of the contest for the $40 CSN gift card.
Someone suggest a free online tool for it next time...cutting out 64 little white cards for five seconds of choosing is not worth my time. Or the time of the dead trees I decimated. Anyway, on to the winner...
And the winner is....*drumroll*
Jamie H. from Three Cheers for Literacy!! Woo!!!!
Thanks to everyone who participated. 22 participants isn't bad, and a lot of you guys were returning followers, too! :) That's great! I'll be emailing the promotional code/coupon thing to Jamie tonight, so if you're reading this, girl, expect an email from moi!
To all those who didn't win....THAT SUCKS!! But, I'll be hosting an affiliate contest at the end of June/early July (hopefully) that cross promotes with Brent at Naughty Book Kitties (who is awesome, and should be checked out by your blog-viewing eyes if you haven't yet). So far I've gotten four books for it: The Van Alen Legacy, Passing Strange, A Field Guide for Heartbreakers, and I Now Pronounce You Someone Else. I may throw in a little surprise for you as well, but it all depends. ;) Until then, be safe, be happy, and don't touch my nachos. Toodles!

I can't believe you cut out 64 cards! It's easier if you just post the names onto an Excel document then use random.org to pick the winner :)
Congrats, Jamie!
The random.org I looked at said I had to pay for that shit. >.> I'm cheap.
Thanks, John!! That's awesome! XD
Congrats Jamie!
For my contests, I just make a google document form that people enter in their name, email, etc. In the spreadsheet, each entry is numbered, so I then use random.org. It's free. I'm not sure what you say, but on the home page on the right hand side is the number generator.
Hope that helps!
Congrats, Jamie!
Here's my idea. To enter, one only needs leave a specific type of comment (for instance one that includes their favorite romance or an original couplet about being true to yourself). As the comments pour in, you choose a favorite poem or song, count the syllables, and then use that number to determine a winner. So, for instance, if your syllable number = 55, then Comment #55 wins. If there are only 25 comments, then #5 wins (you count to the bottom, then start over and repeat as necessary). It's an eeny, meeny, miny, moe approach. Bottom line . . . make it easy! Make it fun!
Just a thought! :)
